The latest fortnightly update.
This post is a roundup of (relevant to this site) new and upcoming music, a nod to upcoming events and livestreams both from this website and others, and also a catchup of what I’ve posted recently. Thanks to everyone who sends me new music and events, keeps me up to speed, and indeed simply reads these posts.

/transmission – the amodelofcontrol.com podcast – has returned, continuing the run through of the a-z of industrial, with all episodes thus far are here. The latest episode is /transmission/024, which starts on the letter P. /transmission/025 will follow soon – at last!
You can also get it via RSS, on iTunes, on Stitcher, and is also now available on the Google Podcasts App (search “amodelofcontrol”) and Spotify too.
If you want to submit anything to be included here? E-mail me (You know what to do with that to make it work, right?), comment/message on Facebook at the amodelofcontrol.com page, and over on Twitter (@amodelofcontrol).

/Album of the Week
04-Nov 2022 / Null Device / The Emerald Age /Bandcamp
An extraordinary synthpop album that you should be listening to right now.
/New Albums
04-Nov 2022 / Big Joanie / Back Home /Bandcamp
The quite excellent “Black Feminist Sistah Punk” band return, now on Kill Rock Stars.
04-Nov 2022 / INTSEC / LIBERATE MAE /Bandcamp
Thumping northern Industrial Techno that’s actually very good indeed.
04-Nov 2022 / Minuit Machine / 24 /Bandcamp
Fascinating, sleek electronic music from this French duo.
04-Nov 2022 / Ploho / Когда душа спит (When the soul sleeps) /Bandcamp
Siberian post-punk that is every bit as cool as that suggests.
11-Nov 2022 / deux furieuses / Songs From Planet Earth /Bandcamp
One of London’s most vital bands release their third album, and they are as politically and musically furious as ever.
/New Singles/EPs
04-Nov 2022 / Seeming / Where Were You / Soul /Bandcamp
An absolutely remarkable lead song on this release, where Alex Reed once again just nails how we are collectively feeling.
04-Nov 2022 / KANGA / Magnolia /Bandcamp
A slower, perhaps more sensual return from KANGA. Is this indicative of future style choices, I wonder?
11-Nov 2022 / blac kolor / Roots /Bandcamp
A thumping four-track release that highlights indigenous, tribal influences in techno (and sounds fantastic).
/New Compilations, Live Albums, Reissues
11-Nov 2022 / Run the Jewels / RTJ CU4TRO /Official Artist Store
A complete, Latinx flavoured rework of RTJ4.
/Upcoming New Albums
18-Nov 2022 / A Projection / In A Different Light /Bandcamp
More electro-post-punk from this Swedish band.
17-Feb 2023 / dEUS / How To Replace It /Official Artist Store
At long last, dEUS are back with new material (their first new album in ten years). Lead single Must Have Been New is like hearing a long-lost friend return to have a drink with you (so needless to say, it’s marvellous).
17-Feb 2023 / Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs / Land of Sleeper /Bandcamp
The wild stoner-rock of Pigsx7 is back for another dose.
04-Aug 2023 / Skindred / Smile /Official Label Store
One of the furthest out release and pre-order announcements I can recall in a long, long time. That said, lead single GIMME THAT BOOM is an absolute fucking banger.
/Upcoming Compilations, Live Albums, Reissues
18-Nov 2022 / The Young Gods / T.V. Sky (30th Anniversary) /Official Artist Store
One of the most essential, game-changing releases in industrial music gets a richly deserved 30th anniversary remaster and reissue.
09-Dec 2022 / Various Artists / Dark Side of the Sacred Star /Official Label Store
Peaceville’s new black-metal label sampler, pretty much (and referencing an old compilation I’ve long had on my shelf, if I’m not mistaken).
/Upcoming/Livestreams/Gigs/Club Nights/Events
Obviously, things change at short notice right now, and I’m updating events as they are postponed or cancelled, and also including relevant Livestreams as they are announced.
/amodelofcontrol.com continues to maintain an events calendar, but it has now moved to /amodelofcontrol.com/events – and is now a dynamic, searchable database, and you can add individual events to your own calendars. I’m currently fixing a couple of minor backend issues, so new events may not be added promptly, or be added sporadically.
If you have updates, relevant events for me, or want to tell me about something else, use the contact details above. It goes without saying that any gig or club still in the listing is subject to change at short notice, or may not happen at all.
/amodelofcontrol.com/next week
