Just a year ago, London was literally broiling in a weeks-on-end heatwave that left tempers flaring as we realised, once again, that this city really doesn’t do well in heat. This summer has been rather different so far, after a very wet June that has rather left us miserable.

Today’s Tuesday Ten is slightly different to the norm. Mainly because I’ve not been to that many gigs this year, here are five of them worth mentioning.
Over halfway, and we’re into the Top 100.
It took bloody ages to get there – two hours from Sheffield to Manchester, via Woodhead, thanks to Snake being closed and awful traffic in Manchester city centre, and I managed my first longer distance drive without any problems – but last night’s gig was worth every single minute and then some.
A list that seemed to grow every time I even thought about it, this one – songs about crime. Perhaps I wasn’t specific enough in my initial criteria, but hell, I’ve got so many I’m going to be covering more than ten this week.
