/Tuesday Ten/471/Longer and Longer
Over recent posts in the past month or so, I’ve been working with the shortest one-word song titles we could think of. There was only one way I could go after that, and that was longer.

…and just like that, this is the last /Tracks of the Month roundup for 2021. I’ll be beginning /Countdown/2021 in less than a month, looking at the best music of the year, and while this might be the last ten tracks I feature during the year, there will no doubt be something else amazing released […]
Now away from the working week for a bit, it has given me time to start catching up. It is, again, Bandcamp Friday today, so along with last week’s releases, there’s an awful lot to cover today. In the meantime, here’s the usual wrap of new music and suchlike this week.
Another one-off return to Livestreaming. It was Hallowe’en, after all.
I conclude – well, kinda – the short song title series with four-letter-word song titles, and this one took a lot of work.
Too much music, too little time with lots of other things to consider sums up life right now. In the meantime, here’s the usual wrap of new music and suchlike this week.
Back on my current series this week, as I move onto three-letter song titles. This was where things got easier.
Life remains busy, otherwise I’d be posting a lot more than I do at the moment – especially as I’m working hard on ensuring the end-of-year lists will be posted in their usual slots, too. In the meantime, here’s the usual wrap of new music and suchlike this week.
Another one a week later than usual, but then, life is weird and really damned busy right now. Here’s the latest slab of tracks of the month – with a bonus eleventh because it is late.
Into October already? Christ this year is flashing past quickly. I’m now beginning to consider the best music of the year, with more yet to be released before the end of November. In the meantime, here’s the usual wrap of new music and suchlike this week.
Following on from last week, we’re onto two-letter word song titles. And, it turns out, this was possibly the hardest of the lot – certainly going on the suggestions, there aren’t many of them.
Now into autumn, the releases keep on coming. Today I bring you a fully updated events listing, a host of releases again, and a tentative return to livestreams. In the meantime, here’s the usual wrap of new music and suchlike this week.
After taking some time away from livestreaming for a while – I needed the break, as life had got a bit busier otherwise – I felt the urge to return this past week.
A certain friend suggested recently that I open a suggestion thread for songs with four-letter titles (that were actual words – no punctuation, no abbreviations, no numbers). It spawned something of a monster, as I also asked about three-, two- and one-letter song titles (with the same rules).
Stay-In-Fest and the Bank Holiday are already in the rearview mirror, and we’re now inching toward autumn, and the usual packed release schedule as things ramp up again. Today I bring you a fully updated events listing, a host of releases today on Bandcamp Friday, and the first of my interviews from Stay-In-Fest fully transcribed. […]
We’ve got one last blast of summer here this week, before we begin the tumble down into the cooler climes of Autumn. Clubs seem to be back in full force – of course with restrictions – while some gigs are happening, others still being postponed. None of which is stopping the continuing flood of new […]

Similar to last year, I was asked by the Infest organisers to assist with this year’s event, once again by way of submitting a number of interviews. Due to time pressures and general issues with scheduling, it all went a bit down to the wire, but we got there in the end!
The dawning of the August Bank Holiday should mean we’re heading north to Bradford once again, but the current state of things means that – even though we did have the chance to get some of the limited tickets – we reluctantly decided that staying home and watching Stay-In-Fest from the comfort of our own […]
Lockdown might be “over” in the UK – insomuch as the Government seems to have washed their hands of responsibility for it – but there are a lot of people still trying to reduce their contact with the outside world, in circumstances where they can’t control potential contact or transmission.
