Welcome to the Future: 079: Events, gigs and new release round-up 12-April 2019

It’s Friday, therefore time for the usual amodelofcontrol.com round-up of new music coming your way this week and soon, as well as a look at the events and gigs in the future, and finally nods to any other notable news that affects artists and music that I cover here.

transmission – the amodelofcontrol.com podcast – had begun the run through of the a-z of industrial, with all episodes here. The latest episode was released a few months ago (transmission: 012). transmission: 013 will be out as soon as I have the time to rebuild the whole damned thing…

You can also get it via RSS, on iTunes, on Stitcher, and is also now available on the new Google Podcasts App (search “amodelofcontrol”).

If you want to submit anything to be included here? E-mail me (You know what to do with that to make it work, right?), comment/message on Facebook at the amodelofcontrol.com page, and over on Twitter (@amodelofcontrol).

New and Upcoming Releases this week

Firstly, one I omitted last week – the new album from Dutch band GOLD, Why Aren’t You Laughing?, whose exceptional lead single He Is Not was Track of the Month here on Tuesday Ten: 361.

There have been a few other interesting releases this week, too.
And Void (Scott Fox, Mari Kattman and Mika Godrijk) released their first EP, while the shadowy FieldAgent has returned with Human Resource vā€‹.ā€‹1.

Talking of returns, The Chemical Brothers released No Geography today, which is easily their most enjoyable album in ages. And there are also a handful of new Courtney Barnett songs coming.

In upcoming releases, there is a new EP from Where We Sleep coming next month – with the excellent video for The Desert released earlier this week. And further to last week, the new 3TEETH album Metawar is out on 05-Jul.
