Another special this month, as we went all electro..
Catching up post-holiday, and I reach the 250th weekly roundup. This post is a roundup of (relevant to this site) new and upcoming music, a nod to upcoming events and livestreams both from this website and others, and also a catchup of what I’ve posted recently. Thanks to everyone who sends me new music and […]
We were on holiday in Italy last week, and seeing as we were in Rome for part of the week…This week I’m featuring songs that use Latin phrases. The Latin language was, wiki tells me, the dialect used in Latium (the region also known as Lazio, i.e. Rome and the wider region of Italy), before […]
Lots of new albums this week, and not so many upcoming releases. This post is a roundup of (relevant to this site) new and upcoming music, a nod to upcoming events and livestreams both from this website and others, and also a catchup of what I’ve posted recently. Thanks to everyone who sends me new […]
2023 has continued to be a solid year for quality releases, and trying to keep this list down to ten (or this month eleven) is increasingly hard.
What I thought was a quieter week for music turns out to be anything but. This post is a roundup of (relevant to this site) new and upcoming music, a nod to upcoming events and livestreams both from this website and others, and also a catchup of what I’ve posted recently. Thanks to everyone who […]
It’s been another busy week this week, but I had the time to fit in another livestream.
Appropriately, this week’s post took a few days to write, as I procrastinated over what to include, and what to write about.
It turns out that lots of artists like making things about themselves. That is, putting your own name, or more to the point your band name, in your song names. And, in same cases, the album as well.
Another Friday, another roundup. I’ve begun catching up on upcoming events (a host were added this week, with more to come), and as always there are more new releases this week. This post is a roundup of (relevant to this site) new and upcoming music, a nod to upcoming events and livestreams both from this […]
Another busy week for new releases, that’s for sure. This post is a roundup of (relevant to this site) new and upcoming music, a nod to upcoming events and livestreams both from this website and others, and also a catchup of what I’ve posted recently. Thanks to everyone who sends me new music and events, […]

Back from Whitby, and the usual Friday update to cover (it’s also Bandcamp Friday again today). In addition, my heart goes out to a long-time friend of this site, Sean Payne of Cyanotic, who lost his wife and is in hospital in Chicago himself this week after a car accident. You can help him out […]
A very busy couple of weeks to catch up on. This post is a roundup of (relevant to this site) new and upcoming music, a nod to upcoming events and livestreams both from this website and others, and also a catchup of what I’ve posted recently. Thanks to everyone who sends me new music and […]
I’ve known my friend Mark13 an awfully long time – and DJed with him quite a few times – so it was a pleasure to be asked to DJ at his milestone birthday party.
Those close to me will know all too well just how sweet a tooth I have – I’ve rarely met a sweet thing I don’t like (unless it involves bananas or Parma Violets) – and right now, we’re still getting through our Easter Eggs in this house, so it seemed the right time to look […]
After a relatively quiet Easter for releases, here’s a catch-up of what has been going on. This post is a roundup of (relevant to this site) new and upcoming music, a nod to upcoming events and livestreams both from this website and others, and also a catchup of what I’ve posted recently. Thanks to everyone […]
As I’ll go into in a bit more detail later in this post, the Beeching Report was published sixty years ago just recently (at the end of March), one of the most important documents in twentieth-century railway history in the UK.
It’s been a little while since I last travelled to DJ, but a short trip across Kent was no problem to join the Post Plague night for the first time.
In a bit of a departure, I was asked by Mark Eris to contribute a mix for his Ambient Recovery series.
