A certain friend suggested recently that I open a suggestion thread for songs with four-letter titles (that were actual words – no punctuation, no abbreviations, no numbers). It spawned something of a monster, as I also asked about three-, two- and one-letter song titles (with the same rules).
The additional downtime at the moment has had one or two benefits for me – more of a chance to get my head down and get a few outstanding posts completed. I’m painfully aware that aside from regular /Tuesday Ten posts (and /Tuesday Ten/402 will follow tomorrow), I’ve not been posting as much as I’d […]
Right then, we’re back in the saddle now, and regular editions of the /transmission podcast will now be released once again – broadly bi-weekly, but that may depend on our commitments around the time! Anyway, this week we get through the letter “j” and start on “k”, with perhaps a couple of contentious artists this […]

A good year for music, so here’s twenty albums I think were great this year.
There has been a steady procession of reformations and/or long-awaited returns in the past couple of years, either bands returning for one last shot at success that perhaps eluded them in the first place, bands simply looking at making some (more) money on the back of previous success and a feeling of nostalgia, and then […]
My usual monthly round-up of new stuff I think you should hear.
