The eleventh part of Transmission, the a-z of industrial. This continues our look at industrial music, and is this week continuing all about bands beginning with “h”.

One of my closest, and oldest, friends comes to visit this weekend. We met by chance amid the chaotic Lost Weekend in 2000, and have remained firm friends ever since – and she was even my Best Person at my Wedding two years ago. We’ve had many great times, had nights of sketchy memories, seen […]
Another Friday, another round-up. As always this is a look at upcoming releases, relevant music news and upcoming events and gigs worth spending some of your time at. It is by no means an exhaustive list, and I’m always on the lookout for more to include.
As we reach into mid-July, here in England we’re currently fighting through the warmest period in some time. Yesterday was apparently the 16th consecutive day with temperatures above 28°C, and frankly, it’s felt like longer than that as London has broiled in the heat.

Back to the first Tuesday of the Month now, after a really, really busy month that left me without time anyway last week – that and there were a couple of releases that I needed to wait until this week to feature. And to catch up a bit, there are more than ten this month.

For those of you not following football, apologies, but this week I (finally) turned my attention to the beautiful game. I’ve actually covered sport before (100: Now Sports), which coincidentally I posted just before the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, and I featured a handful of football songs, but there are many more to […]
The first time DJing in a while last night, where I joined Victoria Fenbane and Deathboy to DJ for my friend Poggs at his 40th birthday celebration. A raucous night that turned out to be a lot of fun to DJ.
This week is all about repetit… oh wait, that was last week on /333/Repetition, sorry. In a change from the originally planned programming (I will post the Tuesday Ten about Spies and Surveillance – that I’ve now pushed back four times – in the coming weeks, I promise), to link in with other posts and […]
Earlier this year, I made a commitment to covering more of the UK “scene” across this year (and beyond). Life has rather got in the way recently, meaning that I’ve not been able to post as much as I would have liked, but things are returning to normal a bit, thus I can resume with […]

This week, as the Tuesday Ten series reaches a repeating number in the form of 333, I will now attempt this week’s post without repetition, deviation, or hesitation. Actually, maybe not. I’ll leave that to Just A Minute.
The last day of the ten day period of All Points East at Victoria Park was also my first ever attendance at one of the festivals in that park. Like my own “home” park Finsbury Park (I live within 100m of it), it is extensively used for live music over the summer period, which probably […]

This has been, and will continue to be, a very busy week. This was the third gig in as many days – a disappointing Ho99o9 show on Sunday night, that was so unengaging I left twenty minutes into their set, and then a much better Author & Punisher/Trepaneringsritualen show on Monday that left my teeth […]
We are nearly at the halfway point of 2018 already, folks. How is this year slipping away so fast? Anyway, amid the heat of the long, Bank Holiday weekend, I’ve pulled together the best tracks of the past month.
It is rather remarkable, now I think about it, just how fast 3TEETH have risen in the industrial ranks. I only came across the band five years ago – their first appearance was on Tuesday Ten: 180 in early July 2013 – and I can thank my friends at I Die: You Die for tipping […]
