/Welcome to the Future/116/Events, gigs and new release round-up/28-Feb 2020

A welcome to the many new readers of this page. This is the weekly Friday post, of new music coming your way this week and soon, as well as a look at the events and gigs in the future, and finally nods to any other notable news that affects artists and music that I cover here.

/transmission – the amodelofcontrol.com podcast – has returned, continuing the run through of the a-z of industrial, with all episodes thus far are here. The latest episode is /transmission/018, which gets started on the letter M. /transmission/019 will follow soon.

You can also get it via RSS, on iTunes, on Stitcher, and is also now available on the Google Podcasts App (search “amodelofcontrol”) and Spotify too.

If you want to submit anything to be included here? E-mail me (You know what to do with that to make it work, right?), comment/message on Facebook at the amodelofcontrol.com page, and over on Twitter (@amodelofcontrol).

/This Week/New Releases

Two notable releases this week – Rhys Fulber releases the Diaspora EP, with some interesting and unexpected covers on it, while also released today is the excellent new Wrangler album A Situation.

This weekly listing has now seen a significant overhaul, and has moved over to a Shareable calendar format that is embedded below. You can add it to your own calendar views if you wish (GCal link, iCal link), and then you will get dynamic updates as I get them. Otherwise see the embedded calendar below.

If you have updates, relevant events for me, or want to tell me about something else, use the contact details above.

/This Week/Festivals

Band announcements for Infest 2020 are now underway, with Kollaps, Berlyn Trilogy, Attrition and Project Pitchfork announced so far. The return of Resistanz in April has clearly been a success already (it’s sold out), bands have long been announced and the DJ line-up has just been completed too.

Over in the US, recently announced and the line-up fully confirmed has been Cold Waves IX in Chicago this September (which yours truly will be attending for the first time in a few years). Also beginning to be confirmed is Mechanismus in Seattle, Sanctuary in Milwaukee, and then Machinefest in Colorado.
