Back to the usual routine this week post-Infest – the full Infest review is linked at the bottom. This is the usual amodelofcontrol.com round-up, of new music coming your way this week and soon, as well as a look at the events and gigs in the future, and finally nods to any other notable news that affects artists and music that I cover here.

/This Week/New Releases
Quite possibly the most anticipated album of 2019 (and 2018, and 2017, and…), Tool release their first album in thirteen years today, in the form of the sprawling Fear Inoculum (ten tracks and eighty-six minutes long).
Talking of returns, the always-interesting indie band Salad have returned with their first album in twenty-one years, too – The Salad Way. Two rather more extreme albums are out today, too. British Black Metal act Necronautical release Apotheosis, and the excellent experimental noise act Pharmakon is back to terrify listeners once again with Devour (by all accounts, it’s even more extreme and intense than previous albums, which will be quite something if so).
/This Week/Upcoming Releases
Sonic adventurers 65daysofstatic release their new album replicr, 2019 on 27-Sep, while Rhys Fulber releases his second solo album Ostalgia on 09-Sep, and Kontravoid takes us Too Deep on 19-Sep. Then, on 10-Oct, Mindless Faith return with Insectual.
Two albums announced on the same day, to be released on the same day (25-Oct), couldn’t be more different. Cigarettes After Sex release second album Cry, with a distinct feel of a slightly more fleshed out sound than the stark debut, while Sunn O))) will release their second album this year, in the form of Pyroclasts, apprarently something of a companion piece to Life Metal.
