/This Week/New Releases
The recent accelerated release schedule from PIG continues this week – Raymond Watts has been very active indeed since the band returned a few years ago – with a covers album in the form of Candy. Also out this week: Cervello Elettronico release TOP DED CTR, the latest EP from Empathy Test, Empty-Handed. Empathy Test are currently on a UK tour with ACTORS and reach London next weekend. Then there are the dual releases Chroma + Chromatic from IIOIOIOII.
The intriguing Dark Nouveau compilation – a collection of current dark and/or gothic artists is also out today, as is a new Psyclon Nine remix album Versions: Icon of the Adversary Remixed.
/This Week/Upcoming Releases
Chelsea Wolfe returns in September with Birth of Violence, that appears to be her second acoustic album – going on the first single, mind, that doesn’t mean it will be any less dark. Talking of darkness, British Black Metal band Necronautical have announced new album Apotheosis, which is out on 30-Aug. Expect the first single to feature on /Tuesday Ten/374 when I wrap up the best music of this month.
Velvet acid Christ release their latest album Ora Oblivionis on 09-August, and The Haxan Cloak is back to soundtrack work at the moment, with the score for new horror film Midsommar coming soon.
