First up, I’m proud to say, that amodelofcontrol has at last begun a podcast series. It is – to start with at least – the a-z of industrial, and tranmission: 001 is now online. You can also get it via RSS, on iTunes, on Stitcher and hopefully soon on Google Play Music (if you’re in North America).
Next Tuesday I’ll be beginning my end-of-year coverage as Countdown: 2017, and in the meantime I really ought to listen to that new Wulfband album…
A last reminder that with my DJ:traumahound hat on, I’ll be DJing at the last JUDDER (details in the events listing below) next Friday along with a host of others.
If you want to submit anything to be included here? E-mail me (You know what to do with that to make it work, right?), comment/message on Facebook at the amodelofcontrol.com page, and over on Twitter (@amodelofcontrol).
New Releases this week
The ever-fascinating Björk’s new album Utopia is out today – and I can’t recommend enough . While in a very different realm, nu-EBM fighters Wulfband are back with Revolter.
Frank Turner releases his “best of”, of sorts Songbook, which includes a number of reworkings of older songs, while Mesh release Live at Neues Gewandhaus Leipzig, from their show with a symphony orchestra.
Upcoming Releases
The marvellous LOCKS have a new single SKIN out in December (the launch gig for it is detailed below).
In the new year, Frank Spinath’s project Lionhearts releases a remix album Companion on 12-Jan, while my wife’s favourite band Manic Street Preachers return with Resistance is Futile on 06-Apr.
