What with work being busy, and my trip for the final 242 shows last week, most writing plans for January got tossed out of the window or deferred.
The best tracks of the past month.

2025 sees /amodelofcontrol.com enter 21 years active, and this coming summer, I will mark thirty years since the first gig that I attended. Life has been busy of late, and a slightly longer Christmas break from writing was much-needed.
The last /Tracks of the Month of 2024 brings various new songs and a bit of a catch-up from the past couple of months, to ensure I’ve covered as much as possible before /Countdown begins the end of year roundup in December.
First of the month, /Tracks of the Month time.
Back on the normal, first Tuesday of the month schedule for /Tracks of the Month.
Another late /Tracks post this month: sorry about that. Hopefully will be returning to the normal first Tuesday of the month in September.
It’s been a busy, and sometimes chaotic past month, hence why this month’s /Tracks of the Month post is a week later than usual.
It’s been another busy old month, with a lot to do, a lot of music to catch up on, and in the end having to hold over a few songs as I simply ran out of time to write about any more.
For those bemoaning that “there’s no good new music”, you’re wrong. There’s been an absolute torrent of new music lately, so much that I can barely keep up, and as we close off the first third of the year, there’s already been a few album of the year contenders too.
With the end of March and the clocks going forward, we inch into April, hopefully some better weather, and the onset of Spring.
2024 has started quickly with a whole host of release announcements, new songs and a variety of surprising tours coming up: so unsurprisingly, I’ve got a lot of tracks to cover with twenty featured (again) this month.
After a much-needed break at the beginning of the year from writing, it’s time for a bumper /Tracks of the Month that covers notable music from the past couple of months (and there’s a lot of it).
The final /Tracks of the Month of 2023 – or more to the point, the last before I unleash /Countdown /2023, wrapping up the best music of the year.
Being away for the second half of September meant that I had a lot of catching up to do last week, hence this month’s /Tracks of the Month post being a little later than usual. In addition, too, I’m now preparing for the usual end of year posts which will come in December. [cardoza_facebook_like_box] /Tuesday […]
In theory, Autumn is beckoning as we rush into September, but in reality down here on the coast it’s time for one last gasp of summer as we bask in the sunshine.
Call it a bit of a summer break, but this is the first three-week gap between /Tuesday Ten posts in a long time – life has been busy.
After a month where I’ve been busy with many things, and less time to write than usual, maybe during July I’ll be back to regular posts.
2023 has continued to be a solid year for quality releases, and trying to keep this list down to ten (or this month eleven) is increasingly hard.
A week later than originally planned, here are this month’s best tracks. The sun is out, we’re finally edging into what feels like Spring. And in the meantime, I’ve been busy listening to new music.
