Back to the usual Friday round-up, as we accelerate away from the holiday period and into 2020 proper. This is the weekly Friday post, of new music coming your way this week and soon, as well as a look at the events and gigs in the future, and finally nods to any other notable news that affects artists and music that I cover here.

A couple of excellent reads from over the Christmas period: RA on the Yorkshire club scene at the turn of the 90s, and a few years earlier, the the explosion of post-punk and industrial/electronic music in Sheffield (and a related, extensive compilation about that period in Sheffield, that curiously appears to omit Cabaret Voltaire…)
Look out for 2020 coverage rolling on, with /Tuesday Ten/391 and the delayed /transmission/018 coming in the next week.
