Another Friday, another round-up. As always this is a look at upcoming releases, relevant music news and upcoming events and gigs worth spending some of your time at. It is by no means an exhaustive list, and I’m always on the lookout for more to include.

New and Upcoming Releases this week
A few interesting releases today, that’s for sure.
Industrial “supergroup” CONFORMCO have an album out today, Controlled Altered Deleted, while Oneohtrix Point Never returns with Age of, and GHOST are back with Prequelle.
Then there is the return of Mazzy Star with their first new material in four years, in the form of Still EP – three new songs, and an absolutely staggering, spaced-out new version of So Tonight That I Might See.
In upcoming releases, Slighter release the Cause/Effect EP on Monday, while Beth from Blindness (long-time amodelofcontrol.com favourites) returns with her new solo project Where We Sleep next week in the form of a two-track single.

Other Things
An interesting tour coming up at the end of the year – And One and Leæther Strip touring the UK. I’m actually going to be seeing the latter at BIMFest, but seeing And One again might be fun…
Yet another sad loss to alternative music, Stewart Lupton of Jonathan Fire*Eater dead at just 43.
In strange cover news, Weezer give in and cover Toto following fan demands/requests over a period of six months…
Finally, this should really go without saying anyway, but don’t use Viagogo. That said, don’t use other re-sale sites either.
