Another Friday, another round-up. As always this is a look at upcoming releases, relevant music news and upcoming events and gigs worth spending some of your time at. It is by no means an exhaustive list, and I’m always on the lookout for more to include.

transmission – the amodelofcontrol.com podcast – has resumed the run through of the a-z of industrial, with transmission: 003, transmission: 004, transmission: 005, transmission: 006, transmission: 007, transmission: 008 and transmission: 009 joining 001 and 002 online recently, and we’ll be continuing with g and h on transmission: 010 very soon. In addition, amodelofcontrol.com made an appearance on I Die: You Die’s excellent “We Have A Technical” podcast this week, discussing the excellent Urceus Exit album Compensation For the Sound of Silence.

New and Upcoming Releases this week

A few interesting releases today, that’s for sure.

Industrial “supergroup” CONFORMCO have an album out today, Controlled Altered Deleted, while Oneohtrix Point Never returns with Age of, and GHOST are back with Prequelle.

Then there is the return of Mazzy Star with their first new material in four years, in the form of Still EP – three new songs, and an absolutely staggering, spaced-out new version of So Tonight That I Might See.

In upcoming releases, Slighter release the Cause/Effect EP on Monday, while Beth from Blindness (long-time amodelofcontrol.com favourites) returns with her new solo project Where We Sleep next week in the form of a two-track single.

In strange cover news, Weezer give in and cover Toto following fan demands/requests over a period of six months…
