The Met Gala last week, a troubled Venice Art Biennale began last week, and the Cannes Film Festival starts today: all events where how attendees look and what they wear becomes as important as the art medium being exhibited or shown, or in the case of the Met Gala, the money raised.
/Tuesday Ten /600 arrives 6,714 days (or 18 years, 4 months and 17 days) since I posted /Tuesday Ten /001. In that time, I’ve lived in Sheffield, North London and now South East Kent, and I’ve attended 688 days of gigs and/or festivals and seen 1,961 live sets.
It was back in July that I wrote /Tuesday Ten /562, intended as a pair of posts that were the opposite of each other.
I conclude – well, kinda – the short song title series with four-letter-word song titles, and this one took a lot of work.
Continuing the process of wrapping up the last decade before it disappears too far into the rearview mirror, this is the second part of the best albums of the 2010s.
After last week, where I finally looked at Opening Songs on albums, this week, I’m heading to the other end of the album, to the Closing Song. But not secret tracks, or outros, songs that actually close albums properly, and interestingly, there are a number of more recent songs featured this week.
