Another late /Tracks post this month: sorry about that. Hopefully will be returning to the normal first Tuesday of the month in September.
This week’s wrap of new and upcoming music… This post is a roundup of (relevant to this site) new and upcoming music, a nod to upcoming events and livestreams both from this website and others, and also a catchup of what I’ve posted recently. Thanks to everyone who sends me new music and events, keeps […]
The sixth part of Transmission, the a-z of industrial. This continues our look at industrial, and is this week all about bands beginning with “e”. It also features one of Daisy’s least favourite bands.
Week three of the amodelofcontrol.com roundup of 2014, and this is, I guess, the big one. The albums of the year.
For the latest interview here on amodelofcontrol.com, we’ve caught up with Eric Gottesman of Everything Goes Cold (and quite a few other bands, which he’ll explain about shortly) over e-mail, to talk about his new album, his old album, his old bands and a whole lot else.
A month without too many other posts, but that’s mainly because I’ve been so damned busy. Now begins the catch-up.
This week my Tuesday Ten series hits number 150. There was going to be a special “awards” one this week, but time constraints have put paid to it. It might still become number 151 next week, we shall see. In the meantime let’s look at the awesome tracks you should hear from this month.
There were points over the weekend that perhaps, just maybe, I was thinking just how completely insane it was to fly a 6800 mile round-trip just to come to an industrial festival. And then there would be another moment that made it crystal clear that it was definitely the right thing to do. So, below […]
Not having picked up much new music in recent weeks, it has given me a chance at last to try and catch up a little with various promo items and things have that come my way, that I may have missed mentioning at the time or hadn’t got ’round to listening to yet.
The penultimate part of my 2000s tracks rundown. Next week will be the usual rundown of the month’s best tracks, and then I’ll be starting at some point after that with a rundown of the 90s in a similar style – after all, this autumn marks twenty years since I first got into/was exposed to […]
For perhaps the first year in a while, 2008 was very much about new music for me at least. Or, put another away, new musical discoveries. Some of these artists were new, some of them were not, and others I had totally missed along the way – and various people have prompted me to give […]
In these mp3-based times, this isn’t necessarily a collection of singles, more the best individual tracks I’ve heard this year (and were released in the last twelve months since last year’s list).
So, onto this week's Tuesday Ten: and with a new month already, it's time for my usual monthly rundown of ten tracks I really quite like right now.
