Another quieter week this week, with a more “usual” list of new releases and upcoming announcements. In addition, I’ve overhauled the events page in a big way, so see the link further down for that. Livestreams and waiting for new releases seem to be the order of the day for now, still, so I continue to wrap up both.

An outstanding industrial-techno (with more than a hint of EBM) EP that was released this week.
Nick Cave & Warren Ellis / Carnage /Bandcamp
An entirely unexpected new album from Cave and Ellis, that I look forward to getting my teeth into this weekend.
Cabaret Voltaire / Shadow of Funk EP /Bandcamp
A follow-up EP to the excellent album late last year, this continues the same theme, broadly.
Blanck Mass / In Ferneaux /Bandcamp
A delve into field recordings and long-form pieces, I suspect this might be a bit different to what has come before.
VOID / The Hollow Man /Bandcamp
One of the more interesting, avant-garde Black Metal bands of recent times, return with a new album.
FM Einheit / Exhibition Of A Dream /Bandcamp
A full release for a previously vinyl-only, ultra-limited album, this sprawling set is a curious, weird trip – mostly near dark-ambient, it occasionally bares teeth that makes it all the more shocking.
Various Artists / 11 Years Of Chaos compilation album /Bandcamp
No festival this year, sadly, so an excellent compilation instead.

Digital release date for this long-promised return now confirmed.

Posters have appeared for the new St. Vincent album, and I’m intrigued to hear where it’s going to go, sonically at least…
