Over the past month I’ve run through the best of 2018 in my Countdown series, you can find the links to these posts at the bottom of this post.
transmission – the amodelofcontrol.com podcast – had begun the run through of the a-z of industrial, with all episodes here. The latest episode was released a few months ago (transmission: 012). transmission: 013 will be out as soon as I have the time to rebuild the whole damned thing…
You can also get it via RSS, on iTunes, on Stitcher, and is also now available on the new Google Podcasts App (search “amodelofcontrol”).
If you want to submit anything to be included here? E-mail me (You know what to do with that to make it work, right?), comment/message on Facebook at the amodelofcontrol.com page, and over on Twitter (@amodelofcontrol).

New and Upcoming Releases this week
As we ease into the new year, there aren’t exactly a great number of new releases around just yet. But there are two worth noting this week.
Beinaheleidenschaftsgegenstand have released their new single Stalker, and long-lived Swedish metallers Soilwork are back with their eleventh album, Verkligheten.
In absolutely remarkable (and unexpected) news, Touch & Go have announced limited vinyl re-issues of Brainiac’s two releases on the label (Hissing Prigs In Static Couture and Electro-Shock for President), to tie-in with the upcoming Brainiac Documentary that I’ve mentioned before. These are, to my knowledge, the first time these have been re-pressed in two decades – and perhaps the first time on vinyl, too (all of the Brainiac output has been out-of-print for years, although some of it is now available on Streaming sites).
While a more expected re-issue has also been confirmed – and also out in March – in the form of an expanded, re-mastered re-issue of Mansun’s Six.
