Another roundup of the best new music recently released or announced, with a bit of a slowdown as we head into the summer lull.
This post is a roundup of (relevant to this site) new and upcoming music, a nod to upcoming events and livestreams both from this website and others, and also a catchup of what I’ve posted recently. Thanks to everyone who sends me new music and events, keeps me up to speed, and indeed simply reads these posts.
/amodelofcontrol.com now has a Patreon page, at this stage purely as a potential way of helping to cover the running costs of the site. There is absolutely no compulsion to do so: if you feel you can chuck a small amount to the site each month, that would be appreciated.

/transmission – the amodelofcontrol.com podcast – has returned, continuing the run through of the a-z of industrial, with all episodes thus far are here. The latest episode is /transmission/024, which starts on the letter P. /transmission/025 will follow soon – at last!
You can also get it via RSS, on iTunes, on Stitcher, and is also now available on the Google Podcasts App (search “amodelofcontrol”) and Spotify too.
If you want to submit anything to be included here? E-mail me (You know what to do with that to make it work, right?), comment/message on Facebook at the amodelofcontrol.com page, and over on Twitter (@amodelofcontrol).

/Album of the Week
05-Jul 2025 / ESA / Sounds For Your Happiness / Bandcamp
Actually out tomorrow, but so good it makes Album of the Week this time around. Jamie Blacker’s latest excursion into the darkness has astonishing breadth and power, taking in extreme metal, hip-hop, bass music and more amid the industrial power of the core sound.
/New Albums
02-May 2025 / Suzanne Vega / Flying With Angels / Official Artist Store
I caught on this a bit late, but a marvellous return from Suzanne Vega, her first new album in eleven years.
20-Jun 2025 / Death Pill / Sologamy / Bandcamp
The second album of rage, grindcore and riot grrrl from this Ukrainian trio.
20-Jun 2025 / Mari Kattman / Year of the Katt / Bandcamp
An excellent album of melodic industrial.
20-Jun 2025 / Max Rael / The Enemy Is Us / Bandcamp
The frontperson of History of Guns releases their first solo album.
20-Jun 2025 / Mojave Phone Booth / Blood Doctor Volume One / Bandcamp
Not the first time I’ve featured this project from Tobey Torres-Doran and Mitchell J Doran (Snake River Conspiracy), the new album takes things into pretty abrasive, sand-blasted industrial.
20-Jun 2025 / The Peoples Republic of Europe / Make Europe Great Again / Bandcamp
The thirty-first album from the ever-prolific industrial doomcore artists.
26-Jun 2025 / Brutalist Architecture In The Sun / Desolation Street / Bandcamp
A punchy, dark album from the Medway synth duo.
27-Jun 2025 / Cervello Elettronico / Theory / Bandcamp
A first album under this name for some time is an excellent return.
/New Singles/EPs
20-Jun 2025 / Cut.Rate.Box / Reel Life / Bandcamp
The first single in twenty years from cut.rate.box is a searing return,
20-Jun 2025 / NUMBER5TATION / COSMISINFINITUS / Bandcamp
Folkestone-based industrial black metal, continuing to explore new realms
02-Jul 2025 / Clawfinger / Scum / Streaming Links
To put it mildly, Clawfinger are not mincing their words in their stomping new single.
03-Jul 2025 / Isaac Howlett / Spiralling / Bandcamp
Isaac Howlett continues his solo singles with a dancefloor-bound track with A State of Flux, that continues to show new sides to his songcraft.
04-Jul 2025 / Comaduster / WAY WITH ME + THE LESS YOU KNOW feat Seeming / Bandcamp
A new pair of tracks to whet our appetite for the upcoming new album, and intriguingly brings in Alex Reed of Seeming for one of the tracks.
04-Jul 2025 / IAmImperfect / The Fallen (Dirty Mix)/ Bandcamp
The first single of 2025 from this Sheffield-based duo brings four minutes of sweetly melodic synthpop, with bite added by the guitars.
/New Compilations, Live Albums, Reissues
20-Jun 2025 / Nadine Shah / Live In London / Official Artist Store
Nadine Shah’s triumphant London show last autumn gets a deserved album release.
20-Jun 2025 / Aesthetic Perfection / Closer to Human / SPKR Store
The first Aesthetic Perfection album has featured extensively on the recent tour, as a precusor to a complete rebuild of the album.
27-Jun 2025 / Flesh Field / Viral Extinction / Bandcamp
Following the unexpected return of Flesh Field last year, Metropolis are now working with them to remaster and re-release most of their earlier material, and this is the first of those.
27-Jun 2025 / Beborn Beton / Stars [remixed] / Bandcamp
A cracking set of remixes from recent Beborn Beton releases.
/Upcoming Albums
25-Jul 2025 / 16Volt / More of Less / Bandcamp
The first new album from 16Volt in an age, sees the Machine Rock heroes back on fine form, judging on the singles so far.
25-Jul 2025 / Ratio Strain / Exorcism / Bandcamp
Vanessa has been familiar on the scene for a while – particularly drumming for W.A.S.T.E. – and this is their first solo album.
08-Aug 2025 / Ethel Cain / Willoughby Tucker, I Will Always Love You / Purchasing Links
After the searing “fuck you” of Perverts at the turn of the year, the first single from the much-anticipated Willoughby Tucker, I Will Always Love You seems to take us back into more familiar territory, but it is no less bleak and dark.
15-Aug 2025 / Street Sects / Dry Drunk / Bandcamp
15-Aug 2025 / Street Sex / Full Color Eclipse / Bandcamp
Unexpected twin releases from the ever-extreme Street Sects, but the Street Sex offshoot appears to take them in an unexpected industrial funk-led direction.
05-Sep 2025 / Ash Code / Synthome / Bandcamp
The first Ash Code album in eight years.
03-Oct 2025 / ULTRA SUNN / The Beast In You / Bandcamp
Just eighteen months or so since the excellent US, ULTRA SUNN waste no time in following it up.
/Upcoming EPs/Singles
None this week.
/Upcoming Compilations, Live Albums, Reissues
25-Jul 2025 / Frank Turner / Show 3000 / Official Artist Store
It was perhaps inevitable: Frank Turner’s massive Show 3000 at Alexandra Palace was recorded for posterity.
/Upcoming/Livestreams/Gigs/Club Nights/Events
/amodelofcontrol.com continues to maintain an events calendar, but it has now moved to /amodelofcontrol.com/events – and is now a dynamic, searchable database, and you can add individual events to your own calendars. The listing has had a revamp and redesign (and I’m re-adding events, so it’s a bit of a work in progress).
If you have updates, relevant events for me, or want to tell me about something else, use the contact details above. It goes without saying that any gig or club still in the listing is subject to change at short notice, or may not happen at all.
