/Tuesday Ten /503 /Tracks of the Month /Aug-22
As we edge into September, we’re looking this week at the last tracks from what has been a long, hot summer.
Now ten years old and counting, my regular series of Tuesday posts takes in new music and sometimes rather random categories.

Earworms. My brain is often like a giant jukebox, with a regular parade of earworms playing when I’m not otherwise listening to music, and just recently there’s been a few that have involved whistling at one point or another.
In ten days time, and a couple of years later than originally expected, I will be attending my twentieth Infest. I first went along thanks to the invite from a friend to most of Infest 2000, when I discovered a particular love for In Strict Confidence, and I was so hooked that from then on […]
In a happy coincidence, my /Tuesday Ten series reaches post number 500 on my birthday: and having checked back, I’ve never posted a /Tuesday Ten on my birthday.
Already into August, and planning now begins for a number of festivals coming up. In the meantime, here are the best tracks of the past month.
As I edge ever-closer to the 500th /Tuesday Ten, this week, I’m celebrating volume.
It’s baking outside, I’m coming out of the back of my first bout of COVID, and really, all I want to do is hide indoors, with a fan on and a continual supply of water. I’ve already covered extreme heat a few years ago, on /Tuesday Ten /337 /Hot Hot Hot!!!, by the way, so […]
The last few years feel like the civilised world has been on something of a precipice, buffeted from all sides by extremist, reactionary opinions and decisions that take us backwards.
A week that has brought yet more appalling news from the US and elsewhere, and it’s all feeling a bit grim really, isn’t it?
I can’t recall where this one first came up, but it might have been thanks to hearing a song that triggered the thought. Anyway, this week is about nothing.
My feelings on the Monarchy and “celebrations” like this weekend just past are well known, so I decided to avoid any posts on the subject this time around. Instead, I got thinking the other week about songs about excitement, and things that might thrill me instead.
As we hurtle through 2022 and crash into summer, here’s the latest set of new music to get you going.
After what is these days a rare week off from /Tuesday Ten posts, I’m back this week with one looking at the pressures of fame.
A curious quirk of this series is that I occasionally get suggestions from friends for a subject to cover, and often, they are smart, considered subjects that I might not have thought of.
How fast is this year passing? I blink and we’re already into May, and thus it is time for the latest round-up of the best tracks that have passed my way. “Sell Out”. It has long been the cry of alternative or underground music fans as their beloved bands get to a certain size, and move from independent labels to major labels and greater success, with the usual accusation being that such a move sanitises the music and chips away at what made them great in […]
After the light last week, there must be darkness, I guess. So despite the spring weather, I’m heading into the dark.
Despite being someone that is part of the wider dark subculture, I love the coming of the light that is Spring. The longer days, the warmer temperatures, and the ability to get outdoors more.
An intriguing, and sometimes busy, first month in my new job has seen a fair bit of travel, and thus time to listen to new music (as well as old favourites). So here we go with this month’s /Tracks of the Month. [cardoza_facebook_like_box] /Tuesday Ten/485/Tracks of the Month /Subject /Tracks of the Month /Playlists /Spotify […]
This week, what started out as a quick round-up of the best music I was listening to at the time (not necessarily new music initially), thanks to a request from another user on Livejournal, reaches fifteen years of posts.
