Dancing and Laughing was a club night in Manchester, specialising in post-punk, synthpop, dark indie and minimal wave music, running during the years 2012 and 2013.
During the Covid pandemic in 2020, Dancing and Laughing reappeared as an online version, and in May 2022 this was then resurrected in a small north London venue. This night has since then been a regular fixture every four months, with the EBM special Work! (To Live) in the alternating two months.

Silent Star are a coldwave/synthpop duo from London. After their self-released debut single, Star Of The Sea, amassed 40,000 views on YouTube, the band were picked up in 2022 by Young & Cold Records, who released their first 12″ EP, The Cross Of Stamford Hill, last summer. The band spent autumn recording in the Young & Cold studio in Germany and released the first single from those sessions, The Estuary Shore, this spring. Their next single, The Cold Now, featuring Nikki Nevver of Terror Bird, will be released this summer. The band have headlined at the legendary London goth night Slimelight, supported Xeno & Oaklander, the KVB and M!R!M and in autumn completed a tour of Germany and Austria.”
