Another Friday, another round-up. As always this is a look at upcoming releases, relevant music news and upcoming events and gigs worth spending some of your time at. It is by no means an exhaustive list, and I’m always on the lookout for more to include.

New and Upcoming Releases this week
Another busy week for new music.
Out last Tuesday (an odd day to release nowadays), was the new EP from RELIC, Social Drift (which is excellent).
Onto today: W.A.S.T.E. release their first new album in a while new album The Sodomy of Morality, while Natura Est (Tony Young of Autoclav1.1 and Andreas Davids of xotox) release their first self-titled album. In addition, the Manics release their latest album Resistance Is Futile, and A Place To Bury Strangers release Pinned.
And lastly for today, but by no means least – the ever-marvellous LOCKS released their new single Bodies today. More on that on amodelofcontrol.com soon.
Re-issued this week, as part of a wider series, is Music for Gilded Chambers by Controlled Bleeding.
A couple of new videos surfaced this week – Failure’s video for single Dark Speed, and Ladytron’s video for Animals (new live dates for the latter went onsale today, too).
Now this I’d missed – out next week is a new album masterminded by Martin Bisi. Of particular note is the track by EXCOP (ex-members of Cop Shoot Cop and Swans (!)), which was recently featured by Brooklyn Vegan, and is exactly as brutal as you might expect.
Also coming soon is the return of Empirion, who release Resume at the end of August on Dependent.

Other Things
No more announcements from Infest at the time of writing, but I believe there is one more band left to announce.
One other festival to announce it’s line-up this year is Goth City, which perhaps has the strongest line-up yet, including the return of Sheffield goths The Way of All Flesh.
While, how dedicated a Killing Joke fan are you? If you think you are, this monster of a vinyl box set might test you…
