Another Friday, another round-up. As always this is a look at upcoming releases, relevant music news and upcoming events and gigs worth spending some of your time at. It is by no means an exhaustive list, and I’m always on the lookout for more to include.

A reminder that amodelofcontrol has at last begun a podcast series. It is – to start with at least – the a-z of industrial, and tranmission: 001 and transmission: 002 are now online. You can also get it via RSS, on iTunes, on Stitcher. transmission: 003 will definitely be available over the weekend, life has rather got in the way this week.
If you want to submit anything to be included here? E-mail me (You know what to do with that to make it work, right?), comment/message on Facebook at the amodelofcontrol.com page, and over on Twitter (@amodelofcontrol).
New and Upcoming Releases this week
The mighty Meat Beat Manifesto return with Impossible Star, out today. In addition, Artoffact Records have released a free sampler of music coming your way from the label in the next few months
Other release news. Excellent Chicago post-punkers Ganser have signed with No Trend Records, with album “Odd Talk” out in April, while closer to home, London post-punkers Desperate Journalist release their latest EP You Get Used To It on 30-March.
Out Out release new album Ridotto next month, and ReGen have a premiere of single Saving Grace this week. The fascinating HIDE have announced their debut LP Castration Anxiety, out in March on DAIS. Be warned: album cover is NSFW, and the first track from it that I’ve heard is exceptional. The latest album from ESA, That Beast, is now up for pre-order too.
The intriguing STRVNGERS release their latest album AMOR / NOIR through Negative Gain on 20-April, while finally, the ever brilliant Metroland return with single Man In A Frame on 02-Feb, and it can be heard now on their FB page. They also play their first UK show, at long last, in April.
