This past week has been one where I’ve (once again) not written quite as much as I’d have liked. I did write about the amazing Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds show from last weekend (see the link at the end), and there are a few new interviews and reviews now in the works, though.

Elsewhere this is perhaps a bit of a shorter post than usual.
A reminder that my DJing alter-ego DJ:traumahound returns to the decks in a few weeks time at the GVWI Hallowe’en Party, alongside some familiar names. I have one more DJ commitment this year, too, that I’ll announce in good time.
Also, of course, amodelofcontrol.com will be at Whitby next month (although unlikely to be writing about bands – it’s a holiday for the site! – I’ll be playing for Real Gothic FC as usual, though) and then also BIMFest 2017 in December – as well as various other gigs in London (and potentially at least one more some way further afield).
If you want to submit anything to be included here? E-mail me (You know what to do with that to make it work, right?), comment/message on Facebook at the amodelofcontrol.com page, and over on Twitter (@amodelofcontrol).
New Releases this week
Not a lot of note this week (there’s more next week). Marilyn Manson releases his tenth album Heaven Upside Down today, and I managed to miss Grave Pleasures’ new album Motherblood last week.
Upcoming Releases
A few interesting announcements this week. The Breeders returned with their first new material in eight years, and there is a new Blush_Response album Infinite Density coming soon.

Other things
Sad news this week was the death of Tom Petty.
Various tours have been announced for 2018 this past week. Machine Head are on tour next May in the UK, and new album Catharsis is due in January. Das Ich are playing London, Manchester and Glasgow in February, while Neds and the Wonderstuff are also on tour next year.
Finally, an event I’d give my right arm to go to – a Brainiac tribute show on 09-Dec in New York, featuring the surviving members, Girls Against Boys and many others – this is also linked to the work ongoing on a documentary about the band.
