After a sold-out first edition in June 2023, Nu-Wave, Folkestone’s newest exclusive & intimate live music night, is back! Set in the town’s fairground-themed grassroots music venue, 20th Century Speedway, Nu-Wave is your ticket to experience seaside’s new sonic treasures across indie-pop, rock, folk, synth-pop and electronica.

Connect deeply with the freshest talents from Folkestone, Kent and nearby seaside towns; Nu-Wave is here to reignite your love for music and create unforgettable memories, making you experience live music in its purest form, in a small and intimate magical space.

For its 1st edition of 2024, Nu-Wave welcomes homegrown talent from Folkestone & Romney Marsh Yesterday’s Flowers, a cosmic rock quartet who debuted live in the town for Riot Gulll’ birthday at the Quarterhouse. The band only have a few singles under its belt, but decades of live experience between members, and have already attracted the attention of Abbie McCarthy at BBC Introducing Kent.

On the bill is also Lo Barnes from Margate, a folk-rock extraordinaire musician who released her new EP Let The Devil Ride at the end of 2023, launching it live at a sold-out Tom Thumb Theatre in Margate.
