Gaming as a medium has been the home to many awesome alt and heavy soundtracks. Dating back to the days of Tony Hawks Pro Skater, Crazy Taxi, Guitar Hero, Doom, Mortal Kombat, and even the Grand Theft Auto games, you’re bound to find countless albums of music that have echoed through the walls of Schism events over the years. Occasionally we choose to celebrate gaming in the most fun way possible, not only by picking out our favourite songs from gaming soundtracks, but by dressing as our favourite characters and paying close attention to those Schismites who dress to impress us with their favourites. So, show us what you’ve got!

Of course, no themed night would be complete without a competition for those of you who set out to impress, and we’re excited to be able to give you lucky people the chance to WIN 2x WEEKEND TICKETS TO BLOODSTOCK for the best dressed on the night!

The lucky winner will be able to spend the weekend of the 8th to the 11th of August in Derbyshire, soaking up the sounds of bands such as Opeth, Architects, Amon Amarth, Clutch, Flogging Molly, Korpiklaani, Combichrist and many more!

The bar has been raised quite high in the past with some very creative costume takes from the likes of Tomb Raider, Crash Bandicoot, Minecraft, and Dark Souls, so be sure to impress us if you wish to be in with a chance to win this awesome prize!

Of course, your usual array of DJs will be providing a selection of metal, rock, and party anthems, (with a certified nod to gaming soundtracks). As always, we invite you to contribute your song requests for the evening, especially if they’re rooted in gaming.
