RIOT GULLL is a new alternative rock/post punk live music & club night in the seaside town of Folkestone inspired by Riot Grrrl, the 1990s underground feminist punk movement. We aim to champion Women and gender minorities fronted-bands + DJs, and connect seaside music communities.

The night has gained a loyal following in South Kent since its sold-out launch last Nov at Chambers, having packed Folkestone’s Quarterhouse around International Women’s Day, followed by a Feminist Punk All-Dayer as part of the town’s Music In May initiative.

Each Riot Gulll night features 3 emerging bands from the alt rock and post-punk scenes, along with a female DJ spinning the best indie/rock/post punk bangers until 1am.
Bands who played the first few nights are already making waves up and down the country, including Hastings’ HotWax, Brighton’s CLT DRP and congratulations, London’s Dream Nails and Shelf Lives, or Manchester’s Loose Articles… Don’t miss your chance to see the most talented bands of a generation before their big breaks in a small intimate venue near you!
