Another Friday, another round-up. As always this is a look at upcoming releases, relevant music news and upcoming events and gigs worth spending some of your time at. It is by no means an exhaustive list, and I’m always on the lookout for more to include.

New and Upcoming Releases this week
Another set of notable releases today.
The Black Queen return with their second album Infinite Games (and I’m looking forward to their show in London on 11-October, with KANGA in support), the mighty (and awesomely named) Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs release King of Cowards, and The Crystal Method return with The Trip Home.
Then there is also the latest release from Anaal Nathrakh, A New Kind of Horror, and the new Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds release Distant Sky: Live In Copenhagen EP, which is a number of tracks from the recent concert film (from their astonishing recent tour that I was lucky enough to see twice).
In addition to all that, Armalyte have an excellent new compilation out – and it is pay as you feel: Make Armalyte Great Again.
Thanks to I Die: You Die for the headsup on the news that there is a new Neuroticfish album coming, called Antidoron. The new single Hysteria is on Youtube now.

Other Things
A few interesting things this week.
Firstly is a reboot/remake of High Fidelity as a TV series, apparently with Zoe Kravitz as the lead.
Then there are two things worth reading: a celebration of Robyn in the Graun today, and a fascinating study about Heavy Metal, that finds that it really is inclusive and governed by rules of etiquette…
