A summer version of our a-bit-more-than-occasional club night at the Moon! Firstly – we’re very sorry but we’ve had to start charging you an entry fee – we’ll post a fuller explanation and we hope you’ll understand. We think its still a bargain – but we do know times are tough. Anyway – we’ll be kicking off at 8pm with the usual mix of 80s electro, synth-pop, indie, shoegaze, goth & quirky pop, plus a few more mainstream party tunes.

CARPE NOCTUM is the biggest and longest-running regular goth club in the north of England, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Our resident DJs HGV and Misrule boast a wealth of experience, with residencies at illustrious Leeds club nights such as Flock and Black Lodge under their belts, alongside guest appearances at clubs and festivals throughout the North, including repeat appearances at Goth City Festival, Tomorrow’s Ghosts, and Infest. Weaving sets from a broad palette of dark alternative genres and subgenres, fuelling and fuelled by the dancefloor, their ethos is that the party is all! Expect tracks old and new, bona-fide classics and hidden gems, foot-stompers and lightbulb-changers.

Gaming as a medium has been the home to many awesome alt and heavy soundtracks. Dating back to the days of Tony Hawks Pro Skater, Crazy Taxi, Guitar Hero, Doom, Mortal Kombat, and even the Grand Theft Auto games, you’re bound to find countless albums of music that have echoed through the walls of Schism events over the years. Occasionally we choose to celebrate gaming in the most fun way possible, not only by picking out our favourite songs from gaming soundtracks, but by dressing as our favourite characters and paying close attention to those Schismites who dress to impress us with their favourites. So, show us what you’ve got!

Dancing and Laughing

/Club /London /Dancing and Laughing – Post-Punk and Minimal Wave Club

Dancing and Laughing was a club night in Manchester, specialising in post-punk, synthpop, dark indie and minimal wave music, running during the years 2012 and 2013. During the Covid pandemic in 2020, Dancing and Laughing reappeared as an online version, and in May 2022 this was then resurrected in a small north London venue. This night has since then been a regular fixture every four months, with the EBM special Work! (To Live) in the alternating two months.

Exit the Grey is an electronic gothic DJ event established in London 2017. Resident DJs Victoria Fenbane and Simon Briggs will be playing the usual mix of synthpop, dark electro and EBM.
