/Club /London /NĀDA #17 with Proteus
September 22, 2023 @ 22:30 - 03:30 BST
NĀDA returns as the fades into autumn, and after a couple of bright and summery workout sessions, we’re pulling you down into a dark, mutant industrial sinkhole.
We are absolutely ecstatic to have the legendary 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐮𝐬 as our next guest. A regular at Unfold, HTBX, SC&P and most of London’s queer techno, EBM & industrial events, Proteus needs little introduction.
A self-professed industrial girl in an industrial world, her sets run the gamut from industrial to techno, noise, body music, ambient and everything in between, in an electrical storm of sound that keeps the feet moving and the muscles crackling.
Rounding up the night, NĀDA residents Alby Maz, Equi3v, Haste and SECO))) will provide raw distorted beats, heavy psychedelic techno, groovy muscle & hypnotic waves.
This one’s going to be a belter – can’t wait to see you on the dancefloor!
𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥, 𝗙𝗢𝗟𝗞𝗦! Regardless of what you want and bring to the basement, one thing is essential. No racism, no xenophobia, no homophobia, no transphobia, no being an asshole. N̳Ā̳D̳A̳ i̳s̳ a̳ q̳u̳e̳e̳r̳ &̳ a̳l̳l̳y̳ s̳p̳a̳c̳e̳,̳ N̳Ā̳D̳A̳ i̳s̳ a̳ s̳a̳f̳e̳ s̳p̳a̳c̳e̳.
Advance tickets 6 GBP, more OTD
Proteus explores industrial, experimental, and modernist electronics. From the avant-garde pioneers of electronic music, to the raging industrial techno of today. A cross section thread of the dark and challenging, celebrating the urge to dance and move through caustic noise and feral sound.
Dark, transcendent and shimmering machine funk that exalts the mind and commands the foot. NĀDA founder and resident, SECO))) focuses on bridging the gap between the psychedelic, hypnotic side of techno with the raw energy of industrial, EBM and trance.
The newest NĀDA resident, London-based Alby Maz has recently jumped behind the decks after years spent partying in clubs and raves around Italy, Berlin, Amsterdam, and London. Inspired by the energy of queer spaces and wild forest parties, his sets feature hypnotic loops and sultry vocals, mixed with hard basses and dark, groovy rhythms. He has previously played for NĀDA and Mass Winter Rave, and he can often be found in the underground scene partying if he is not playing.
Darkness in shades of pink and a blanket of noise you can cuddle in and feel the embrace of the beat beat beat. Music so nasty you would rather be on the dance floor than at the cruising area. A facial of noise.
Never wasting time, the NĀDA resident has been honing his own take on cold minimal techno for a while and is ready to wreck the dance floor quicker than you can say cherenkov radiation.
