The rubble has been cleared from the Castle’s basement post our anniversary party and we can finally share that we will be back in August, smack dab in the middle of what will hopefully still be summer.

Weather aside, we couldn’t be prouder to announce that London-based legend 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝗱 𝗢𝗽𝗵𝗶𝘀 will be sharing the decks with the NĀDA residents this August. A resident of MOTZ and AAJA radio, animal rights activist, she is an incredibly positive force in the scene. We cannot wait for the floor to be beaten into a pulp by the impeccable EBM, industrial and noise-adjacent selections of this firestarter extraordinaire.

As if predicting the white-hot intensity of our next dervish of eardrum damage, the Met Office has just announced the highest temperatures ever recorded in the country and record-breaking heat – we are indeed lucky to have the best air-con in the business ready to keep your body temperature at survivable levels in our basement.

As always, rounding up the night we’ll have residents 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗢))) with his hard and psychedelic techno, 𝗛𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲’s minimalist sharpness, and 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝟯𝘃’s brutalist aural shock-and-awe.

Redd Ophis is a resident of label/webzine MOTZ, based in Berlin, London, and Ireland and is the founder of Synthapise, a nonprofit event for animal rights causes. They have a monthly radio residency with AAJA Music and she also writes poetry/lyrics where her vocals feature on End Train’s “The Day I Didn’t Want to Wake Up”, about breaking the chains of conditioned thinking in a society (released on Code Is Law, 2019).
