Gaming as a medium has created some truly memorable moments over the years, whether it’s witnessing that heart-breaking moment in Final Fantasy 7 (you know the one), or those times a friendship nearly ended, all because of a blue shell in Mario Kart! We love games, and we equally love the contributions many of them have to music, be that missing too many notes and rage quitting in Guitar Hero to Dragonforce’s Through the Fire and the Flames, or listening to Mick Gordon destroying your speakers as you Rip and Tear in Doom Eternal! We want to celebrate these memories with all of you beautiful Schismites in what has already become one of our most popular events since we first announced it last year.

Of course, no themed night would be complete without a competition (prize TBA) for those who wish to dress up as their favourite character(s). The bar was raised quite high last year with some very creative takes on Lara Croft and Crash Bandicoot, and we really look forward to seeing what you amazing lot come up with this year!

Your usual array of DJs will be providing a selection of metal, rock, and party anthems, with a big nod to gaming soundtracks over the years. As always, we invite you to contribute your song requests for the evening, especially if they’re rooted in gaming.
