THE SPELLBOUND HALLOWE’EN PARTY!

At 11pm on Saturday 29th October, in the Main Room at Komedia, Spellbound brings you the biggest party of Hallowe’en Weekend! Deciding where to go that Saturday night is Child’s Play…

Picture the scene: it’s an unspecified year in the 1980s, and your favourite goth club is throwing a massive Hallowe’en bash. The cheap Snakebite & Black is flowing, dry ice is in the air, and in addition to dark alternative anthems by The Cure, Siouxsie And The Banshees, The Cramps, Bauhaus, The Sisters Of Mercy, Joy Division, The Cult, Violent Femmes, Soft Cell, Alien Sex Fiend, Killing Joke, The Birthday Party etc, and general indie/alternative bangers by The Smiths, Depeche Mode, Talking Heads, New Order, Echo & The Bunnymen, Gary Numan, PiL, Psychedelic Furs, The Clash etc, the DJs loosen up the music policy to have some Hallowe’en fun, so you WILL hear “The Monster Mash”, “Thriller”, “Ghostbusters” and “The Time Warp” too.

There’s live cabaret, classic horror film clips (all pre-1989, of course) on the TVs, and all manner of other ghoulish shenanigans!

IMPORTANT INFO: This Spellbound will be happening in the BIG room at Komedia, which means we open at the later time of 11.00pm. This will be the only October Spellbound (so there will be no Spellbound in our usual ‘Third Saturday’ slot.)
